Cities & The Sky #2

Cities & The Sky #2 is the second in a series of site-specific animations for public art space. The piece was made for a custom video-wall, and takes advantage of the display's panoramic width to explore shifting scales and perspectives of landscape, clouds, and skylines.

The work is permanently installed in a private office on the 80th floor of the Willis Tower in Chicago.
The visuals were inspired from the elevated panoramic views of the surrounding city and lakefront, which also suggested the secondary title unkai, or “sea of clouds”.
